Types of Institutions

(1) Social organizations. It mainly includes international science and technology organizations; relevant national science and technology organizations; science and technology organizations in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, China; national societies (associations, research societies); provincial science and technology associations, and relevant social service organizations.

(2) Universities and scientific research institutions. It mostly consists of relevant domestic and international universities and research organizations.

(3) Platforms. It is mostly composed of various innovation and entrepreneurship service platforms at home and abroad, technology incubators, technology transfer platforms, China Association for Science and Technology Overseas Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, China Association for Science and Technology Haizhi Plan Work Base, National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Talents, International R&D Community, etc.

(4) Investment institutions. It generally contains various investment institutions, such as angel investment firms, venture capital firms, venture capital institutions, equity investment funds, etc.

(5) Others. Other institutions that do not fit into one of the preceding four categories.

Qualifications

1.Independent legal person status.

2. No criminal or bad credit record.

3. Well-connected with overseas talents and projects in science and technology.

Rights

1. to display the logo and profile of the institution on the Competition’s official website;

2. to participate in competition-related activities;

3. to become a candidate for the Outstanding Organizing Award of the Competition (trophies and certificates to be presented to the winning institutions at the award ceremony);

4. to enjoy priority in becoming a partner of CAST’s HOME Program; and

5. to enjoy priority in becoming a partner or resident institution of the National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals and the HOME Program Base.

Obligations

1. to promote the Competition on institution’s official website or social media accounts;

2. to recommend outstanding teams and projects to participate in the Competition, and guarantee their authenticity and effectiveness (each project to be recommended exclusively);

3. to assist the organizing committee to contact and coordinate the recommended participants to attend activities as needed;

4. to support other works related to the Competition.

Recognition Procedure

1. The Organizing Committee Office of the Competition will judge and confirm whether the referrer meets the qualification criteria.

2. The confirmed referrer will be displayed in the list at the front desk of the Competition.
